Finding Good Within The Bad

Hello lovely! Thank you for joining me. I’m so glad to be with you today.

I thought we could talk about seeing the good things within the bad circumstances in life. We all know that God cannot stop evil things that happen in life because of free will. However, that sure does not stop Him from creating goodness from darkness.

“And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.”

Romans 8:28 (AMP)

God takes care of everyone, but especially to those who love and know Him. Are you someone who loves God? Do you have a true and deep relationship with Him?

Let me tell you a little bit about me. I was an angry child. I had a lot to be upset about and no way to express it. I was molested at a young age from the ages of 5-13 years old. No one knew. I shoved everything I felt- deep, deep down into the dark abyss of my mind. I never thought I would get out of it, and I certainly never thought I would heal from the pain that it caused me. Here I am, quite some time later, working on my healing journey. But, if it were not for that terrible experience, I never would have been in the position I am in now- working toward becoming a pastor.

God will shine light even in the darkest of times.

It is normal to feel alone, forsaken and forgotten when things get rough, but God will always remain by your side. He will use the bad events and struggles to get through to you; of something only He knows. Remember, He has a plan for you. You are his wonderful masterpiece. He will use you to do good unto the rest of the world- often times through the horrible experiences that we have faced. Just remind yourself that YOU are not alone. You never will be. The Lord will lift you up and take you to a place where you cannot imagine. You just need to trust Him through all the trials and difficulties that you face.

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”

Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)

“Your unfailing love, O LORD, is as vast as the heavens; your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds.”

Psalms 36:5 (NLT)

The Lord is full of love and faithfulness. He will stay true to you forever.

Thank you for reading and God Bless you.

Love, Kelley
